Our Story

HEALING, CONNECTION, AND COMMUNITY CAN CREATE CHANGE WHERE PUNISHMENT ALONE CANNOT.

Our Journey

Freedom Project began inside Washington State prisons through Nonviolent Communication, mindfulness, and restorative practices. As people returned home, the work returned home with them, growing to include reentry support, housing, youth programs, advocacy, and community healing.

Freedom Project works alongside individuals, families, and young people impacted by incarceration and systemic harm. Guided by lived experience, we connect people with practical resources while creating pathways toward healing, stability, leadership, and belonging.

TOGETHER, WE SHIFT FROM PUNISHMENT TO RESTORATION, FROM OPPRESSION TO EQUITY, AND FROM APATHY TO EMPATHY.

LET’S CREATE FREEDOM TOGETHER

Your support helps Freedom Project provide housing assistance, reentry resources, youth mentorship, healing-centered programs, and opportunities for people and families to build a more stable future.
